Center for Neighborhood Technology

Founded in 1978, the Center for Neighborhood Technology is a national leader in promoting more livable and sustainable urban communities. They research, invent, and test urban strategies that use resources more efficiently and more equitably.

 

 

LOCUS

LOCUS, Latin for “place,” is a national coalition of real estate developers and investors who know that transportation drives development and who advocate for sustainable, walkable urban development in our metropolitan areas.

 

Live/Work/Walk Foundation

Laura Heery Prozes, AIA, is co-founder of Brookwood Group, with George and Shepherd Heery; and Satulah Group, which they sold to Jones Lang Lasalle in 1998. Brookwood Group is a development, design, planning and project management company for corporate real estate, institutions, universities and new urban transit districts. As an architect and master planner, Laura lead the first Peachtree Corridor redesign, from urban highway to livable boulevard in Atlanta, now completed in Buckhead.

The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) helps its members build communities. Each year, NAHB’s members construct about 80% of the new homes built in the United States, both single-family and multifamily.

Urban Land Institute

ULI, the Urban Land Institute, is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit research and education organization supported by its members. Founded in 1936, we now have more than 37,000 members worldwide, representing the entire spectrum of land use and real estate development disciplines working in private enterprise and public service.
