Do you want to create change in your community? Does your neighborhood need safer streets, or is sprawling development changing the region's character? Are you committed to making your city healthier, greener, more resilient, and more equitable?

CNU works to empower ordinary people who want more great places built. Our wide array of programs, events, tools, and resources—from CNU membership to advocacy materials—are designed to accelerate the pace of change. With more than 2,600 members working in communities across North America, in urban centers and in historic small towns, CNU connects and empowers the professionals, leaders, advocates, and citizens creating places people love.

Becoming a CNU member places you on the front lines of the movement. You'll join a network of highly motivated architects, planners, designers, developers, engineers, elected officials, and community advocates working together around common goals. Free membership in your region's CNU Chapter will equip you with a community of local allies and grant access to exclusive events in your area.

Professional urbanists seeking to take their work to the next level can even seek CNU-A Accreditation—and any supporter of better places can make a difference by donating to CNU. Meanwhile, national member discounts on everything from books and magazines to registration at CNU events (including our Congress) will keep you informed on innovations in your field and the biggest opportunities around you.
