Where is CNU 34 being held?

CNU 34.Northwest Arkansas is a truly multi-city event with session venues in both Bentonville and Fayetteville, which are approximately 25 miles apart. To help you better understand the region, we’ve posted two primers on Public Square, one focused on Bentonville, the other on Fayetteville.

What are the dates of CNU 34?

Special workshops and tours will start as early as 8:30am on Tuesday, May 12th. A full day of sessions will occur on Wednesday, May 13th, through Friday, May 15th, wrapping up with a closing party on Friday. On Saturday, May 16th, CNU will be hosting a New Urbanism Open House with programming open to the public.  You can learn more about the agenda as it becomes available here

How do I register for CNU 34?

Information on pricing and other details can be found here. Registration will be in the ground floor of the Graduate Hotel inFayetteville. Details about registration hours will become available as we get closer to the Congress.

What will I learn at CNU 34?

The program at CNU 34 will be made up of educational and implementation session, project showcases, meetings, Main Stage conversations, workshops and tours. You can read more about the Focus for this Congress here

What are the tours?

As part of the Congress program, the Local Host Committee has developed a suite of tours that can be purchased as ad-ons. A full list of tours, prices, and descriptions can be found here.

How do I add tours or special training workshops to my registration?  How can I purchase tickets for tours/special training workshops on their own?

  1. Go to the CNU 34 registration page and complete the 1st page (even if you already filled it out when purchasing your registration)
  2. On the second page, under the "Event Admission" section, select "Local Government Training Day, Tours, or Special Event ONLY" if you are purchasing only tour ticket(s) or adding the tours to an existing CNU 34 registration.
  3. Under the "Event Session" section (which lists all the CNU 34 tours), select the tours you'd like to purchase / add to your registration.
  4. Complete and submit the form. If you have an existing CNU 34 registration, the purchased tours will be added to your registration.

Are you providing Continuing Education Credits?

Yes, information about Continuing Education Credits will be released as the agenda is finalized.

How will CNU-provided transportation work between Bentonville and Fayetteville?

CNU will be providing transportation at least twice daily between the major venues (“Square to Square”) in Bentonville and Fayetteville, so that attendees who would like to locate in one city will be able to attend sessions in the other. While rideshare is an option, it is less popular than in some of the larger cities of recent Congresses. Attendees may rent cars if they wish to transition between cities with frequency or to travel further out into the region, however CNU does not guarantee the availability of parking at Congress venues or hotels.

Will CNU be providing any transportation between the airport and hotels?

No, all travel from the airport to hotels is on the attendee’s own.

Are there volunteer opportunities at CNU 34?  Is there a registration discount for volunteers?

In return for volunteering 8 hours at Congress, volunteers will be offered a heavily discounted full registration of $125 to attend the Congress outside of their volunteer duties. Volunteers must attend a mandatory volunteer orientation, and volunteer activities range from: registration and check-in, way finding assistance, session monitoring, special events staffing, tours and tour departures, and other duties as assigned.  The volunteer application is available here.
