Local Government Day
Municipal staff and elected officials are at the forefront, in implementing the principles of New Urbanism across the country. At CNU 34 Northwest Arkansas, we aim to support their transformational work by providing a full day of programming specifically tailored to the needs of our local government audience. CNU-A Bootcamp
Designed for both newcomers and experienced practitioners, the CNU-A Bootcamp at CNU 34 offers a full day of immersive learning in the principles and practice of New Urbanism. Participants will explore everything from foundational urban theory and historical precedents to the physical shaping of streets, buildings, and public spaces. The workshop also covers codes, zoning, and policy tools, plus community engagement, development economics, and strategies for equitable, walkable, and sustainable neighborhoods.
