We are a woman-owned business that attracts the most outstanding talent in the industry because of our reputation for doing excellent work.  We are seeking a Civil Engineer to further expand our team of talented and dedicated professionals in our Boston, MA office.

Responsibilities:

The person hired for this position will participate in all stages of project development and will work with a team of diverse professionals to design sustainable transportation engineering solutions for infrastructure investment projects.  Responsibilities will include working in tandem with a project manager to advance designs of various multimodal transportation projects through the design review process from concept to construction documents.  This will include conducting engineering analyses, field work and design efforts.  At times this position may also include client meetings, the preparation of technical reports and presentations. At TDG the pace is fast; the environment is collaborative and dynamic; and your colleagues are passionate, creative, and well-versed.  This person will have strong organizational skills and will be able to apply creativity and energy to innovative and unique projects.

Qualifications: 

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, a Master’s Degree is advantageous; at least three years of experience; and excellent oral and written communication skills. E.I.T. certification is desired, with the ability to sit for the P.E. within a year preferred. The successful candidate must have strong civil design skills with a keen interest in sustainable and active transportation and possess demonstrated experience in the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D to facilitate roadway corridors plan development through the creation of horizontal alignments, profiles, cross sections.  A state-of-the-practice understanding of complete streets/active transportation design guidance is strongly desired.  Ability to perform grading, stormwater management, utility and/or soil erosion and sediment control designs are a plus.  Familiarity with the design standards of municipalities in the Boston Metro Area including the City of Boston and/or MassDOT is advantageous. We are looking for individuals who are motivated, enjoy working in multi-disciplinary teams, and are self-starters.
