QUESTION Where is CNU 24 being held?
ANSWER CNU 24 will be held in Detroit, Michigan. CNU 24 will be the most immersive, and dispersed, Congress ever. We will be using several unique spaces across multiple venues and locations over the four days of the Congress. Learn more about the venues here.
QUESTION How do I register for CNU 24?
ANSWER Registration is now open. Register Now! Registration queries should be directed to: Kelly Moran at kelly@ahi-services.com or 800-788-7077.
QUESTION What is the early bird deadline?
ANSWER The deadline for early registration is May 2, 2016.
QUESTION Do you have one-day registration available?
ANSWER Yes, please check the Registration Information page.
QUESTION What are the accepted forms of payment?
ANSWER The accepted forms of payment are checks, wire transfer, and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners). Registrations must be accompanied by payment. Forms received without payment will not be processed. Funds must be in U.S. Dollars. Checks should be made payable to CNU. (For accounting purposes, the CNU Federal Tax ID number is 65-0483737).
QUESTION Is there a student price?
ANSWER Special student pricing is available. To qualify for student registration, a valid student ID or class registration must be provided. Please check the Registration Information page.
QUESTION How do I get the member discount?
ANSWER To qualify for the member registration price, your CNU membership must be valid through June 2016. If you are not a member and would like to become one, click here for information and to join online. Please allow 7 working days for the membership information to be shared with the registration company. You also have the option to add membership onto your CNU 24 registration when you register online.
QUESTION How can I justify my attendance at CNU 24 in Detroit to my employers?
ANSWER We have assembled a Justification Toolkit page and Justification Letter template to help guide you in your discussion with your employer about attending CNU 24.
QUESTION Is on-site registration available?
ANSWER Yes, on-site registration will be available, although attendees are strongly encouraged to register in advance. Not only do you save money by registering early, but some tours might be sold out, and we cannot guarantee that registrations received between June 1, 2016 and June 7, 2016 will be processed or confirmed prior to the conference. Please check back for onsite registration hours.
QUESTION When will I receive my registration confirmation?
ANSWER All registrations will receive confirmation by e-mail within 5 business days. If you do not provide an e-mail address, a written confirmation will be mailed. Online registrations will receive an email confirmation upon completion of their registration. Email confirmations will be sent to the email address used to set up the online account.
QUESTION Where do I get my badge and tickets?
ANSWER Your Congress badge, program, special events and tour tickets (if applicable) can be picked up at the registration desk. We encourage you to pick up your materials on Tuesday between 5pm - 7pm if you have purchased a ticket for a Wednesday morning tour or New Urbanism 202 session. The lines will be much shorter than on Wednesday morning.
QUESTION Where will the registration desk be?
ANSWER

The registration desk will be located on the 2nd level of Gem/Century Theatre, located at 333 Madison Ave, Detroit MI 48226. The desk will be open during the following dates and times.

Tuesday, June 7 5:00pm - 7:00pm
Wednesday, June 8 7:30am - 7:00pm
Thursday, June 9 7:30am - 7:00pm
Friday, June 10 7:30am - 7:30pm
 

On Saturday, June 11 the CNU registration desk will be at The Fillmore, located at 2115 Woodward Ave, Detroit MI 48201 from 7:30 AM - NOON.

QUESTION Are you providing Continuing Education Credits?
ANSWER Yes. CNU typically applies for AIA and AICP continuing education credits for Congress sessions and events. Please check back with cnu24.org to find out which sessions are receiving CEC credits.
QUESTION Are you offering scholarships?
ANSWER A select number of 4-Day Congress registration scholarships are available to students, government employees/officials, and community organization employees. You must provide proof of student or job status in order to be eligible.

Applications are reviewed and accepted on a rolling basis. The application process will be open through April 15, 2016, or until all slots are filled, whichever comes first.

QUESTION What about people with special needs?
ANSWER If you have special needs and require accommodation, please fax a written description of your requirements to 302.436.1911 or email to kelly@ahi-services.com by Friday, May 27th. Should you require special hotel accommodations, please notify your hotel when making your reservation.
QUESTION What about substitutions, cancellations and refunds?
ANSWER Registration fees will be refunded less a $100 administration charge, if a refund request is received via email at kelly@ahi-services.com before Friday, May 6, 2016. No refunds for registration fees will be issued for requests received after May 6, 2016.  Substitutions may be made without penalty. Please email your cancellation or substitution requests to Kelly at kelly@ahi-services.com.
