Job Description
Our Los Angeles office is seeking an Urban Designer with 5-10 years of experience to join our Region and Town Planning studio to help lead exciting and diverse projects including mixed-use, residential, TOD, corridor plans, design guidelines, and form-based-codes. A professional degree in Architecture, Urban Design, or Landscape Architecture is required. Salary is commensurate with experience and we provide excellent medical benefits, 401k, Short and Long Term Disability, Life Insurance, vacation, holiday and sick leave.
Required Skills
- A passion for helping to make a better world
- At least 5-10 years of experience in participating and leading Master Planning and Urban Design projects
- Understanding of urban form, placemaking, and architectural typologies, particularly residential types
- Excellent Design Skills
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
- Excellent Public Presentation Skills
- Proficiency in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, MS-Office suite - Knowledge of Revit is a plus
- Ability to lead others in a manner that results in a positive team environment
- Ability to mentor others
- Some experience with marketing urban design and planning services
