Description:
Mithun seeks a forward-thinking, energetic Urban Designer to join our award-winning sustainable design practice. Ideal candidates exhibit a high level of design and craft to work collaboratively with various urban design, master planning, architecture and landscape architecture teams. We desire candidates who demonstrate an interdisciplinary approach to achieve vibrant, livable, economically successful and ecologically sound, high density, low carbon urban centers and communities.
Required Qualifications:
- 1-4 years experience with urban design consulting
- Professional Urban Planning or Urban Design degree; a dual degree in Architecture is highly desired
- Excellent oral, written and graphic communication skills
- Strong design sensibility
- High proficiency with InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, ESRI ArcGIS, Revit, and 3d visualization/modeling (preferably with 3ds Max)
- Highly motivated and able to work both self-directed and in interdisciplinary teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- EcoDistrict, LEED-ND, resilience and sustainability planning experience
- Public Health and healthy design experience or knowledge
- Proficiency with CityEngine and Lumion
- AICP Certification
