Description:

Under the direction of the Planning and Zoning Director, the Traffic Engineer will serve as a key member of the department’s leadership team with direct responsibility for the effective management of the City’s transportation systems and infrastructure. The Traffic Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating traffic operations and transportation systems to effectively move people and goods within the City. The Engineer will also conduct and assess traffic impact studies and design, develop, assess and maintain an overall sustainable transportation program for the City of Delray Beach.

Qualifications: 

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field with a specialty in traffic engineering. Other requirements include eight years of engineering experience, with public sector preferred.
