About the Role
We are seeking a Project Manager skilled in New Urbanist principles and Traditional Neighborhood Design. This role offers the opportunity to lead planning and architectural design efforts, manage complex projects, mentor junior team members, and cultivate strong client relationships. Candidates should have experience in both architecture and planning, with a proven ability to guide projects from concept to completion.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Lead projects from concept through entitlement, ensuring design integrity, technical quality, and client satisfaction.
- Project Team Management: Supervise and mentor a team. Provide clear direction and regular feedbackas appropriate.
- Client Engagement: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients. Lead presentations, workshops, and coordination meetings.
- Quality Control: Oversee project deliverables and ensure compliance with codes, regulations,and best practices.
- Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with landscape architects, engineers, developers, and municipal stakeholders to build consensus.
- Business Development: Support marketing efforts, proposal development, and participation in interviews and competitions.
Qualifications
- Passion for placemaking & walkable communities.
- Professional degree in Architecture, Urban Design/Planning, or Landscape Architecture.
- Licensure preferred: RA, AICP, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years in a project management role.
- Portfolio demonstrating urban planning, and/or architectural design experience.
- Proficiency in REVIT, SketchUp, & Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage timelines, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams.
