About the Position:

Interior Designer III is an organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated professional with a strong foundation in design and technical execution. The ideal candidate brings experience in commercial, multifamily, and mixed-use projects and demonstrates a genuine desire to continue developing their professional skillset.

This role requires a high level of technical expertise, including thorough knowledge of building codes and construction documentation. An Interior Designer III thrives in a collaborative team environment, contributes thoughtfully to design solutions, and approaches challenges with confidence and creativity. Strong problem-solving abilities are essential.

Effective time management and clear communication skills are imperative, as this position involves balancing multiple projects simultaneously. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Originates, or helps to originate, designs and manages all aspects of a project with limited support from a team leader.
  • Understands construction types, interior-related code, and interior detailing on projects.
  • Perform quality checks on drawings.
  • Ability to carry out complex assignments while developing new techniques.
  • Handle multiple, varied activities at one time.
  • Follow through to make sure all schedules and timelines are met.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships both internally and externally.
  • Communicate directly with the client and team with a full understanding of scope and expectations.
  • Work at a fast pace without compromising quality.

Requirements:

  • Work experience in commercial fields (retail, restaurants, hotels), and multi-family and mixed-use design
  • Proficient understanding of construction drawings and detailing of various size projects
  • Understands how engineering trades, consultants, budgets, and schedules impact architectural and interior design
  • Must have a driven, determined, and self-disciplined approach to achieving results.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must be adaptable and flexible to change
  • Strict adherence to deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities
  • Occasional travel required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from an accredited program
  • 5+ years of experience
  • CIDQ Licensed Interior Designer
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suites
  • Proficiency in Revit and Photoshop not required, but a plus.
