Organized across two divisions (Planning and Building), the Community Development Department is supported by a staff of 27 and an annual budget of $6.2 million.
The ideal candidate will display an impressive understanding of urban planning with depth in housing, commuting and transportation issues. He/she will be an excellent communicator and a supportive team player who embraces new technology and best practices that maximize resources and performance. Five years of relevant urban planning public and/or private sector experience that includes at least two years of supervisory experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline are required. A Master’s degree and/or AICP certification is desirable.
