Brian Reilly

Brian is Principal at Civic Agility and a Co-founder of Small Development Counts. He has served as economic development director in Cleveland and Buffalo. He’s also led signature programs at Living Cities and the Johnson Foundation at Wingspread. Brian’s development experience includes initiating Buffalo’s “Green Code” and leading the city of Milwaukee’s redevelopment of the Menomonee River Valley (credited by Brookings as driving the largest inner-city job creation in the US between 1998 and 2006). Brian has served as a senior fellow with and is a current faculty member of, the Incremental Development Alliance where he focuses on aligning local governments and place-based organizations with small developers to optimize implementation on the ground.
