Work has begun on the commercial town

Work has begun on the commercial town center in Lowry, the redevelopment of an 1,866-acre Air Force base on the Denver/Aurora town line in Colorado. A 50,000 sq. ft. Al-bertson’s supermarket anchors the town center, which will include 118,000 square feet of retail and 15,000 square feet of offices on 11 acres. Albertson’s has agreed to reduced parking in front of the store and has positioned a cafe and a bakery with entrances on the sidewalk, according to Hilarie Portell of the Lowry Redevelopment Authority. Miller Weingarten Realty is developer and David Owen Tryba Architects the designer .
