Riverside in Atlanta, an 85-acre neotraditional development by Post Properties, was named the “Mixed Use Deal of the Decade” by the Atlanta Business Chronicle. The first phase, built around a town square based on Princeton, New Jersey, included 245,000 square feet of office and retail space that was leased within a month of the the project’s opening in mid-1998. The project includes 535 apartments, ranging from 750 to 3,100 square feet. Phase one apartments were leased by December, 1999, and phase two apartments are being leased as quickly as they are put on the market. The project also has a cafe/corner store, restaurant, business center, fitness center, post office, bank, dentist office, insurance agent, hair stylist, and dry cleaner. Riverside was designed by Duany Plater-Zyberk & Company.
