Arcadia Realty hired Lawrence Berkeley

Arcadia Realty hired Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory to help design North Richland Hills Town Center, which is in the early stages of construction. The laboratory advised the developer and planner on the best ways to reduce heat retention in the hot Texas summer. Streets are aligned with prevailing breezes from a new system of lakes. Narrow streets, landscaping, and light colored pavement and roofs will reduce temperatures by seven degrees, important in attracting shoppers to on-street retail.
