CNU XVI ArchiveA Record of the Congress»»»European Regionalism
Submitted by Filmanowicz on Thu, 04/12/2007 - 8:16pm.
Description:
A core aspect of new urban practice has always been at the
regional and metropolitan scale—whether regional visioning
in Chicago, Austin, and the Twin Cities or structuring growth
around transit in Charlotte, Denver, and Los Angeles. This
session presents recent innovations in regionalism in
Europe, including an overview of work on the continent, a
review of regional spatial planning in the United Kingdom,
and a transect-based regional plan from Sweden.
