Two CNU Task Forces have new co-chairs.

Two CNU Task Forces have new co-chairs. Lucy Rowland will co-chair the Educators Task Force, and Kevin Hardman will co-chair the Downtown/Infill Task Force. Head of science collections and research facilities at the University of Georgia Libraries, Rowland has served as a planning commissioner in Athens-Clarke County, GA, since 1988. She is a frequent guest lecturer and juror at the University of Georgia’s landscape architecture program and helped found the first Students for the New Urbanism chapter. Kevin Hardman is currently with Kimball Hill Urban Centers, where he is working on the redevelopment of public housing and other large-scale urban infill projects. He lives with his wife and daughter in Chicago’s first large-scale, mixed-income community on former Cabrini-Green land. CNU recognizes the following individuals who have joined or renewed their membership at the level of partner, patron or benefactor: Robert Davis, Philip Erickson, David Scheuer, Clark Wilson, Marcela Camblor, Charles Brewer, Sue Chan, Patrick Van Pelt, Bruce Atwater, Martha Atwater, Rasim Moid and George Dickens. Thank you for your support of New Urbanism. The American Planning Association has selected CNU board member Judith Corbett for its Distinguished Leadership Award for a Citizen Planner in the 2005 National Planning Awards. Corbett founded the Local Government Commission, which she now heads, and helped plan and develop the internationally renowned resource-efficient Village Homes neighborhood in Davis, California. u
