Overview

Transportation Planners’ work involves exciting projects such as the promotion and integration of various transportation systems with land use patterns that encourage walkability, travel choices, convenient access to goods and services. Tasks will include but are not limited to: development, subdivision, and permit review and matters related to the comprehensive planning process, as well as integration of transportation planning with a complete streets program. Additionally, work may involve transportation capital planning including transit and bike and pedestrian planning. The department is looking for someone with excellent human relations, interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills, good public presentation and customer service skills, is that you? Qualifications are a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning, Transportation, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field and at least 3 years of experience in regional or local government.
