Job Summary

The City of Concord Planning Division is looking for a Senior Planner to provide land use and site planning assistance to developers, property owners, the general public, and other City staff. Job duties include review of development plans and providing recommendations to the Planning Board, as well as assisting developers and property owners through the plan review process. The Senior Planner will also provide transportation planning assistance and recommendations to various committees and commissions, and work on special projects. Experience and familiarity with principles of new urbanism, multimodal corridor design, and complete streets is desired. Education and Experience

Position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited four-year college or university in landscape architecture, planning or a related field; and at least three years of progressively responsible related experience; or any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job.  A master’s degree, GIS experience, and professional licensure or certification are preferred.
