Entry Level Land Planner/Urban Designer

Description
Seeking an entry-level Land Planner/Urban Designer with a commitment to creating mixed-use, compact, walkable neighborhoods that promote place-making, environmental sustainability, and population health. We believe in an inextricable relationship between Planning, Urban Design, and Architecture.

Qualifications

• Professional Degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or Urban Design
• Software proficiency: PhotoShop, InDesign, Illustrator, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Word, Excel
• Proficiency in graphic communication
• Hand drawing ability
• Solid technical foundation, including grading
• Good design sense
• Experience with regulatory codes and entitlement processes a plus
• Familiarity with various building typologies a plus

Responsibilities
Performs design and technical tasks as part of a team for both private sector and public sector clients. Type of work includes:

• Feasibility Studies for Land Development (Mixed-use and Residential).
• Visioning Documents
• Conceptual Site Plans
• Presentation Drawings
• Site Plans
• Entitlement Support
• Neighborhood Plans
• Design Guidelines
• Form-based Codes
• 3-D Modeling
• Close coordination with in-house Architects
