Position Summary
This position serves as the Chief Planner in the City Planning Department. The position is responsible for overseeing core functions of the Department including strategic planning, comprehensive planning/amendments, code amendments, urban design, community planning, project management, and more. Current initiatives are focused on expanding the city’s housing supply to meet projected demand, equity, sustainability & resilience, transit oriented development, improving walkability, and zoning code reform. Supervisory experience and AICP certification are required.
