Associate Director

This position serves as the primary support and coordinator for all forms of organizational marketing, communications, public relations, internet activities, and events. Supports organizational marketing and communications platforms to include websites, emails, print materials, media communications, events, and Social Media. Serves as the primary contact for members and membership services.

Position Expectations
Supporting the CEO, you’ll be at the heart of driving marketing and communications activities on behalf of NAIOP Wisconsin. You'll be expected to be involved in drafting content copy, creating collateral materials, managing social media channels, developing engaging web content and assisting with digital marketing campaigns. In addition, you will be responsible for organizing events and managing volunteer member committees.

The right candidate is a self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. This job is full of variety, so you’ll need to be able to multitask and switch between projects efficiently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the Chapter website, email, and social media communications.
  • Serve as primary staff liaison for Website and Membership software upkeep.
  • Assist with the writing, editing, and development of Member e-newsletter, membership materials, brochures, sponsorship materials, press releases, PSAs, and other writing collateral as needed.
  • Update database records and all rosters in member software as changes occur.
  • Oversee planning and logistics of NAIOP meetings and events
  • Lead committee meetings by preparing agendas and meeting minutes and distributing upon completion.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. Degree in Communications or Marketing field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Website Content Control, or Event Management preferred.
  • Additional experience in Graphic Design, Social Media, and PR Writing is desired.
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects successfully in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills including attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and with internal/external clients across geographical locations.
  • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure and think creatively to meet goals
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with online event registration and web software preferred.
  • Experience with SEO tools is a plus (e.g. Google Adwords, Google Analytics, Conductor)
