Location: Concord, NH
The City of Concord is seeking a creative and motivated civil engineer with private development design, permitting and construction experience to join our Engineering Division’s management team. If you are looking for a leadership role in an exciting and supportive city environment, this may be the job for you. Concord is a warm and welcoming community with a vibrant and growing downtown, which recently got a major boost from its award winning Downtown Complete Streets Redevelopment project. As second in charge of the Engineering Division, this position reports directly to the City Engineer and works closely with our Planning Division. The primary duties include facilitating private development projects through the City’s Site Plan Review process from application review through to construction, supervising and managing engineering inspectors, as well as supporting other staff with capital improvement projects and permitting. The Associate Engineer also represents the City with contractors, developers, consulting engineers, and the general public.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Civil Engineering, or other related field; and a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the practice of civil engineering and project management, including three (3) years of supervisory experience; or any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job.
Licenses and Certifications: Registered Professional Engineer License in NH is required.
Salary Range: $70,595 - $102,221 DOQ with a competitive flexible benefits package.
