Development Manager

Job Overview:

The Development Manager’s primary responsibility will be to manage two active mixed-use development projects that are currently in the planning stages. For these projects, the Development Manager will:

  • Manage project schedules and development budgets
  • Oversee the work of all design, engineering, and planning contractors
  • Market development opportunities to potential partners and investors
  • Track progress and provide timely updates to company leadership
  • Direct public relations and community/government outreach efforts

The Development Manager will also provide support to the ongoing work of WePartner’s acquisition and development team in the following ways:

  • Conduct market and property research in support of acquisition opportunities
  • Prepare financial analyses for potential development projects, including proforma, cash flow analyses, and partnership/waterfall analyses
  • Coordinate conceptual planning, rezoning and entitlement efforts for new development projects
  • Prepare and deliver presentations for potential development partners and investors
  • Provide regular project and market updates to senior leadership
  • Represent WePartner with local and regional industry/networking groups

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Real Estate, Urban Planning, Architecture, Economics, Business or related field
  • 5+ years of professional experience in commercial/mixed-use development
  • Broad knowledge of the entire real estate development process
  • Understanding of the principles of mixed-use, infill, and traditional neighborhood development
  • Advanced financial modeling skills in Excel and Argus
  • Site planning/urban design/hand sketching skills
  • Excellent written, graphic, and verbal communication skills

Reports to: Vice President of Development
