Downtown Doraville - Private Mixed-Use Development RFQ
City of Doraville, GA
Deadline: August 8, 2016 at 2 p.m. EDT
Description:
The City of Doraville, Georgia is accepting RFQ responses private development companies experienced in providing planning and development of urban, pedestrian-oriented mixed-use projects. The City is in the process of developing a new downtown city center that includes consolidation of all City facilities onto one parcel (City Hall, Civic Center, Police Station, Courthouse, Library, and structured parking), new infrastructure improvements (e.g. roads, underground utilities, streetscape), and extension of Flowers Park into a civic lawn with a green stormwater detention pond. The City would like to enter into a public/private partnership with an experienced development company that will partner with the City to develop the private components of the masterplan plus the civic lawn. Land development will include several new six- to eight-story mixed-use buildings of residential, office, and retail uses. Doraville is experiencing rapid growth due to redevelopment and recent property annexations and the City is seeking to build on this momentum. The prospective site is at the Doraville MARTA station, generally bounded by New Peachtree Road, Stewart Road, Buford Highway, and Flowers Park, and encompasses Park Avenue and Central Avenue in downtown Doraville.
