Overview
The City of Green Bay Department of Community and Economic Development seeks a Development Specialist to develop, promote and manage a variety of City incentives and business assistance programs in order to create an economically-vibrant community. This position requires a high degree of versatility and a working understanding of the basic principles of urban planning, public administration and political science.
The City of Green Bay is a thriving city; it is the third largest city in the State of Wisconsin (population approximately 105,000) and home of the Green Bay Packers. Additionally, the City occupies a stunning waterfront location positioned between Wisconsin’s famous Door Peninsula and it’s equally renowned Northwoods.
Qualifications
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, Economics, Political Science or other related field, 1-3 years experience and a valid driver’s license and good driving record. A Master’s degree, GIS experience, experience conducting real estate market analysis, and certification through International Economic Development Council (IEDC), American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), or similar accreditation is desirable.
No residency requirement.
Salary
Salary commensurate with experience up to $58,363 annually.
