The CityBuilding Exchange is taking learning on the road May 12-16, 2018 with the CityBuilding Express (CBX), an intensive tour of over 20 innovative neighborhoods/developments that highlight best practices and how to implement them— with the assistance of local experts and leading practitioners who will be on the tour with you. After visiting each city, the participants will discuss and identify the lessons to learn from each place as we drive to the next city. This is the perfect hands-on learning environment for community leaders wanting to enhance their knowledge of how to improve their city in a compressed amount of time. Registration closes April 1st and is limited to the first 50 registrants. Registration includes the cost of the bus, lodging for four nights (Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday), and breakfast and lunch while on tour. $685 per person for shared accommodations (2 people/hotel room) or $985 per person for single accommodations (1 person/hotel room). Participants who are government employees or elected officials will receive discounted registration to the Congress for the New Urbanism’s Core Learning Sessions on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Compelling speakers deliver these presentations on the principles, concepts and tools for building places people love.

Government employees participating in CityBuilding Express 2018 are eligible to register for Wednesday Core Learning Sessions at CNU.26 for a discounted rate of $100.

Core Learning Sessions are in-depth primers on the history, principles, concepts, and tools of New Urbanism, targeted to those that are new to New Urbanism as well as Congress participants who need an introduction to a topic. Once you register for CityBuilding Express 2018, you will receive a registration code in your confirmation email and instructions for how to register for the discount.

The 26th annual Congress will bring together over 1,500 individuals from North America and around the world for four days of education, collaboration, discussion, and debate on the policies, designs, and emerging approaches that create great places.
