This event will give attendees the opportunity to learn the importance of design in creating neighborhoods that connect to and embrace transit within its context that will lead to healthy, economically sustainable communities.

CNU Atlanta invites you to its Spring 2013 Workshop, which will explore design concepts that will help channel Atlanta's future growth into walkable, transit-oriented developments (TODs). The day-long workshop is divided into two parts: a morning educational session and an afternoon hands-on design exercise. The morning session will be led by architect/planner Jeff Speck, who will introduce the urban design essentials of TOD design and share lessons learned from case studies in the United States and in Europe. In the afternoon, participants will work in teams to apply these design concepts to two MARTA TOD case studies located in the Atlanta metropolitan area. The results from the exercise will be shared with the Atlanta Regional Commission and MARTA.

Join CNU today to access the member rate for this event. Prices shown are for now through March 22nd and fees will raise $15 after March 22.
