Sustainable Urban Drainage, Mixed Income at Upton

Upton is a mixed use, mixed income urban extension to the town of Northampton, originally master planned by The Prince's Foundation for English Partnerships. One of its key features is its commitment to sustainable urban drainage, shown here in front of a mixed income block in the first neighbourhood, opened in 2006.

Upton is a mixed use, mixed income urban extension of 5000 to the town of Northampton, which was originally master planned in a charrette by the Prince's Foundation. it is organized around a system of sustainable urban drainage, and is being delivered by English Partnerships pursuant to a design code, This is a mews block in Phase One.

This image shows sustainable urban drainage systems in a mixed use community master planned by The Prince's Foundation at Upton in England, with English Partnerships and EDAW. The project will eventually be home to 5000 persons, a school and retail. It is intened to integrate urbanism and sustainable drainage, and does so in a T 3 setting.
