Poundbury is a mixed use, mixed income urban extension to the town of Dorchester, master planned by Leon Krier for the Prince of Wales and the Duchy of Cornwall. It is planned around walkable neighbourhoods, and this image depicts the successful grocery store on Pommery Square in the first neighbourhood.

Poundbury is an mixed use, mixed income urban extension master planned by Leon Krier for HRH The Prince of Wales and the Duchy of Cornwall. One of the key principles is to accommodate the automobile while favouring the pedestrian. This lane radiates off of a neighbourhood centre, and it includes affordable houses "pepper-potted" among market rate housing.

Saturday Market at Poundbury

Poundbury is a traditional urban extension to the town of Dorchester, master planned by Leon Krier for HRH The Prince of Wales and the Duchy of Cornwall. As of early 2007 1200 people live at Poundbury and 750 work there, in workplaces mixed into the community. This is an image of the Saturday Market in Pommery Square, one of the neighbourhood centres.
