Comerica Building - Near Southside, Fort Worth - 8th Avenue Facade

Local advocates were able to convince Comerica Bank to abandon their plans to build a slightly-modified version of their usual bank branch design (with some token allowances for an urban setting) in a classic "Main Street" setting in Fort Worth's classic streetcar neighborhood, the Near Southside. Instead, Comerica hired a local architect to design this far more sensitive, far more urban two-story design to fit its context, with all parking either on-street or to the rear (and thoroughly screened). Design by Quorum Architects of Fort Worth, Texas.

7-Eleven Corner Store and condos in the 11 acre Museum Place mixed-use development in Fort Worth's Cultural District. 7-Eleven moved out of a nearby gas station into this mixed-use structure at the development's west edge adjacent to large residential neighborhood. Gas station demolished for next phase of infill. New 7-Eleven is strictly a corner store with no gas pumps. Upper floors features five condos. Building is adjacent to two more, larger mixed-use buildings under construction and new public plaza.
