Students for the New Urbanism

Students for the New Urbanism (SNU) groups are student organizations registered with their educational institution to promote awareness of New Urbanism and issues related to the built environment. SNU groups should contact their local CNU chapter to connect to the new urbanist community in their area and register with CNU using the form linked on the right to stay connected to the national new urbanist network.

SUBMIT A PROJECT

Every year, CNU facilitates an awards program to recognize the very best in New Urbanist design. Winning projects are recognized for their excellence in fulfilling and advancing the principles of the Charter of the New Urbanism, which defines the essential qualities of walkable, sustainable places from the scale of the region down to the block and building. SUBMIT RESEARCH

Each fall, CNU invites members of the academic community to submit original New Urbanist research to be reviewed by experts in the field. Select papers will earn invites to the annual Congress, where the authors will present their research and their findings. The papers will then be submitted to several reputable academic journals, and will be made available in the CNU Library. Have a paper to submit? Click here to get started.
