The founding principles and evolving practices of New Urbanism are connecting more often these days with the principles and practices of other community-focused organizations. There may be no greater convergence of these ideas than what's taking place in the AARP's "Livable Communities" initiative. Some of the language in the AARP's reports sounds as remarkable close to the Charter for the New Urbanism.
