Governing.com; King of the Road

In the April Transportation column of Governing.com Alex Marshall discuses and criticizes the tendencies of certain Conservative and Libertarian think tanks. There's a strange confliction of statements made by these groups whereby they support less government involvement in the development of highways and roads, but at the same time encourage more roads to be created, a feat which can realistically only be accomplished with government involvement. At the same time, these same organizations often look down upon, and release publications criticizing, mass-transit options.
