Senior-level Transportation Planning Leader to grow and lead an emerging team on a variety of planning, development and transportation infrastructure projects.

We seek a candidate who will assist in developing the Toronto office locally and work with New York and San Francisco to establish an independent transportation planning team in Toronto.

-This candidate will have proven transportation planning skills in a wide variety of projects (roads, highways, transit, pedestrian, cyclists), knowledge of codes and local Canadian or Cambridge market a must.
-In addition, the successful candidate will have excellent business development skills with the ability to procure work and maintain existing relationships.
-Existing client relationships are highly desired.
-Additionally, this person will lead the analytical, modeling and physical planning work. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Work on a range of planning and transportation studies
-Multimodal Transportation Plans and Master Plans
-Transportation & Land Use Studies
-Transit Planning & Operations Analysis
-Intermodal Planning & Design
-Transportation Policy
-Pedestrian & Bicycle Studies
-Traffic and/or Pedestrian Modeling
-GIS studies.

Additional responsibilities include research, analysis, writing reports and presentations, completing and documenting analytical studies, participating in client and stakeholder meetings, coordinating with internal and external partners, writing proposals and managing tasks and projects.

Qualifications: 

-Bachelor's degree in related field with a Masters level degree with a focus on Urban or Transportation Planning.
-8-10 years of transportation planning or relevant work experience.
-Demonstrated successful experience working with government agencies and authorities, private developers, architects and engineers on a wide-range of projects.
-Solid multi-modal transportation planning skills.
-Ability to perform both analytical & qualitative analysis work
-Must be highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges
-Good project management skills and the ability to manage a small project teams
