Getting to Small-Scale Incremental Development Featuring John Anderson
Since John Anderson’s last PlaceMaking@Work webinar, The Dark Art of Urban Development, the incremental development slide deck has been nicely fleshed out. Photographs of recently built stuff replaced drawing of stuff he wanted to build. Financial statements have replaced proformas. As the third most listened to PM@W webinar to date, we’re delighted to welcome John back for additional insights from the developer’s perspective on building livable neighborhoods. Battle stories along with successes.
This webinar will include case studies on the first 4F buildings (for follows finance four-plex) at Hampstead in Montgomery, Alabama, a live/work and loft variation of the 4F chassis for an infill project in Chico, as well as other development formats that meet the pent up demand of the current housing market.
John Anderson, a developer and Principal of Anderson|Kim, builds enjoyable, resilient places in a challenging financial and regulatory environment. John Anderson and David Kim’s partnership began at New Urban Builders, a development and building company, where they collaborated in the planning and building design for several mixed-use neighborhoods. Will Dowdy joined the team in 2009. Anderson|Kim practices in Northern California’s Central Valley and with colleagues across the US.
