Cultural Economy: National Main Streets Conference

Start: Sun, 04/14/2013 (All day)
End: Tue, 04/16/2013 (All day)
Location: New Orleans, LA

The National Trust for Historic Preservation invites you to the 2013 Main Street Conference Cultural Economy in the spirited cultural capital of New Orleans on April 14-16, 2013. Get a firsthand look at a creative economy in practice, an economy built on the "foods, music, people, stories, and traditions" that make New Orleans...well, New Orleans...and see how one can apply this to one's own community.

According to the NTHP, "this 'Creative Economy' engages entrepreneurs, culinary artists, performing and visual artists, crafters and artisans, nonprofit organizations, museums and historic sites, filmmakers and technology startups to create new jobs, stimulate the economy, kindle innovation and new partnerships, attract talent and tourists, and contribute to livability."

Whether you're a seasoned veteran of Main Street America and historic preservation or a small business owner, or really anyone in between, register for this year's conference and get more information by visiting preservationnation.org.
