CNU-Atlanta: Complete Streets Design Workshop

Start: Fri, 02/17/2012 (All day)
End: Fri, 02/17/2012 (All day)
Location: All Saint’s Episcopal Church, 634 W Peachtree St NW, Atlanta, GA 30308

Learn how to design, engineer and construct streets that serve people walking, biking, using public transportation and driving. Streets play an important part in the health and livability of our communities. However, many of our streets are designed primarily for cars, which diminishes the quality and safety of streets for other users walking, biking and taking public transportation. This workshop is tailored for engineers, architects, planners, policy makers and others involved in the design and construction of streets. The goal is to learn how design, construction, and policy can be applied to improve transportation quality, convenience, safety and mobility for all users in a context sensitive approach.
