Description:

TSW, an award winning planning, architecture, and landscape architecture firm located in Midtown Atlanta, has an immediate opening in our community planning studio.

We are seeking a COMMUNITY PLANNER to work on a range of policy and design projects in a variety of contexts ranging from urban to rural. Responsibilities will include preparing corridor and small area studies, conducting public outreach, assisting with writing codes and ordinances, producing graphics, and supporting college master plans.

We are interested in candidates with the following credentials:
•A passion for planning and an interest in design
•An undergraduate or Master’s degree in planning or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
•1-3 years of relevant experience in planning or related fields
•The ability to work and communicate with the public at community workshops and through other creative outreach methods
•Graphic layout and design experience, including knowledge of Adobe CreativeSuite and Microsoft PowerPoint
•The ability to write clearly and concisely
•A creative approach to problem solving
•Strong critical thinking skills, including analytical skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel
