Madison is known as a Bike Friendly Community, here is your chance to get out and join the crowd! CNU is proud to offer several unique opportunities to explore Madison by bike including guided tours, morning wake up rides, and Madison’s Ride the Drive event. Conference attendees can rent a bike at a special CNU rate from Machinery Row Bicycle Works, next door to the conference, and join in the fun.
There are three distinct opportunities for rides:
Register now to be part of:
- Tour 05 - Bike the Transect: Urban to Rural Link
- Tour 16 - How Two Fading Neighborhoods Found Success
Bring your gear and sense of adventure to start your day at the Congress with an invigorating guided ride. Each morning a group will depart the convention on a guided tour of local destinations, offering opportunities for discussion along the way of local bicycling efforts and points of interest. The fitness rides will cover around 10-15 miles max, and are a more leisurely tour than hardcore ride. Spandex is not necessary. The Trek 7200 rental from Machinery Row should be sufficient for all rides.
All rides depart the Monona Terrace Convention center at the Bike Elevator.
