Back to School with CNU-A: New Continuing Ed Partners; New Exam; Upcoming Registration

It's back to school time with CNU-A. CNU-A is the accreditation program that gives CNU members a distinguished credential that highlights their expertise and knowledge of New Urbanist principles, and allows them to stand out among the many planners, architects and designers in the market.

This past summer, we introduced with CNU-A Continuing Education Partner program, making it easier to maintain CNU-A status by attending events from our partners the Form-Based Codes Institute, Placemakers, and the Center for Applied Transect Studies. We are excited to announce the latest partner to join the program, Vision Long Island. For further information on the CNU-A Continuing Education Partner program, please click here.

The CNU-A distinction is achieved by passing the CNU/University of Miami Accreditation Exam. For those who registered this summer, access to the Summer exam will open September 29th, 2011 and remain open till October 13, 2011.

Those wishing to register for the Fall exam should eamark October 18, 2011 when Fall registration opens. Those who do so will be in plenty of time to take the optional University of Miami online course,  The Principles and Practice of New Urbanism, which provides preparation for the exam.

Further information regarding CNU-A can be gleaned from our CNU Accreditation Handbook.
