Leon Krier talks sustainable architecture and urbanism with Jules Lubbock
Leon Krier's new book "The Architectural Tuning of Settlements was published in May by The Prince's Foundation. On the day of its publication Krier spoke with Jules Lubbock for the UK's Building Design magazine. In a wide ranging interview they discussed tall buildings like Norman Foster's Gherkin and their place in the 21st Century city, sustainable building and embodied energy. When asked how to deal with uncontrolled global overdevelopment, Krier points to the CNU: "The Charter of New Urbanism is missing a few things, but it’s definitely in the right direction. Politicians have to take decisions and they don’t know what they’re doing."
