2006 CSS Workshop & Transportation Summit
At the 2006 CNU Transportation Summit and workshop participants learned about a new road design resource, created by leading urban planners and transportation engineers, that helped communities create streets that build character and long-term value.
At the Transportation Summit on November 17-18, 2006, new urbanists gathered to advance the practice of transportation reform. In Boulder, we focused on two areas of reform: transportation modeling and street and place design. There were many presentations and a high level of dialogue about reform on these two fronts. The summit used examples from Boulder to showcase innovations such as pedestrian science, transit planning, parking and street design. A summit publication will be mailed to all CNU members in early 2007.
