Urban Street Design Training for CMAP
Through generous funding from The Chicago Community Trust, the Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU) is offering two one-day training sessions on the principles and practice of urban street design. The February 8th session is open to CMAP staff, planners and local leaders in the Chicagoland area. It will focus on overcoming obstacles and building strong communities around the Chicago region through the use of the CNU/ITE Designing Walkable Urban Thoroughfares manual.
This event will take place at the CMAP offices in Chicago. Register by January 14th for a reduced rate. Registration closes February 1st. Participants will get a copy of the manual, lunch, and refreshments.
